Private Author Events help the Literary Society continue and thrive! Designed for a truly personalized experience, these opportunities are an important way to raise funds to bring literary luminaries each year. These customized events give hosts and their guests a closer connection with the author and elevate the Society's reputation in the industry. Thank you for considering hosting an Author and for all you do in support of our mission! 

Hosting a Private Author Event- $5,000 Donation

  • An intimate private author event for you and 2-25 guests of your choice.
    • Hosts can include individuals, families, friend groups, companies, or social clubs.
    • Host to underwrite the event.
  • Private Author Event venue, selected by the host, must be within 8 miles of Royal Palms Resort and Spa per the authors' agents' guidelines.
  • Signed books by the chosen author.
  • Recognition as an Author Host on our website, newsletters, and at the chosen author’s luncheons.
  • A premier seat at the hosted author’s table.

    Membership dues make up 70% of total income needed to fulfill our programs and grantmaking each year, with a fundraising goal of $100,000 or more annually. Sponsorships and contributions are critical in filling the gap and allowing the Society to support our members, host exceptional authors, and advance and promote literacy in our communities.
