Host An Author

Private Author Events help the Literary Society continue and thrive! Designed for a truly personalized experience, these opportunities are an important way to raise funds to bring literary luminaries each year. These customized events give hosts and their guests a closer connection with the author and elevate the Society's reputation in the industry. Thank you for considering hosting an Author and for all you do in support of our mission! 


Hosting a Private Author Event- $5,000 Tax Deductible Donation

                                              •  Private Author Event with your author of choice. Based on availability.
                                                • An intimate private author event for you and 2-25 guests of your choice.
                                                  • Hosts can include individuals, families, friend groups, companies, or social clubs.
                                                  • Host to underwrite the event.
                                                • Private Author Event venue, selected by the host.
                                                • Recognition as an Author Host on our website, newsletters, and at the chosen author’s luncheons.
                                                • Up to 15 books by the chosen author.
                                                • More details to be provided!
                                              • 1 premier seat at the hosted author’s table based on availability at the time of commitment.

There are many ways to give to the Literary Society!

If you are considering a gift to the Literary Society, we accept cash gifts via credit card or check, as well as marketable securities that can be transferred into our brokerage account. Consult with your financial advisor to complete the necessary form if you are 70 1/2 years or older and wish to donate via a qualified charitable distribution. Recurring and corporate matching gifts are also greatly appreciated.
