Bring a beloved book to life as you support the Literary Society of the Southwest by hosting a one-of-a-kind evening with an amazing author.

Whether you’re breaking bread and turning pages with friends and family, or club members and coworkers, you will be underwriting an unforgettable evening of inspiration!

Generous sponsorships and private author events sustain our mission. Your tax-deductible donation will reflect your passionate commitment to reading contemporary classics and celebrating the spirit of our cultured community.

What’s Included

Your tax-deductible donation of $5,000 to the Literary Society provides:

                              An intimate private author event for you and 2-25 guests of your choice.
                                                                                                    • Hosts can include individuals, families, friend groups, a company, or a social club.
                                                                                                    • Host to underwrite the event.
                                                                                                    • Venue selected by the host.
                                                                                                    • Up to 15 books by the chosen author.
                                                                                                    • Recognition as an Author Host on our website, newsletters, and at the chosen author’s luncheons.
                                                                                                    • 1 premier seat at the hosted author’s table.

Thank you for your support and interest in hosting an author this season! Private Author Event Form will be available online on Friday, April 17. Physical copies will be available at all April luncheons. 
The choice of author is based on availability on the date of signed commitment or payment.

There are many ways to give to the Literary Society!

If you are considering a gift to the Literary Society, we accept cash gifts via credit card or check, as well as marketable securities that can be transferred into our brokerage account. Consult with your financial advisor to complete the necessary form if you are 70 1/2 years or older and wish to donate via a qualified charitable distribution. Recurring and corporate matching gifts are also greatly appreciated.
